Sorted began in the spare room of our apartment. Not as a business idea, but as a personal journey of recovery and discovery.
Over the years, I had become used to long, lonely days in the gym rehabbing injuries. Knee ligament tears, ankle sprains, foot fractures. Those injuries were frustrating, but they always came with a timeline. You could measure progress and roughly predict when you would be back to full fitness.
The second concussion I suffered within 13 months was different. With my brain, there was no timeline. I did not know how long the chronic neck pain, headaches, and brain fog would last. Prescription pain medication became the default option, but it never felt like a long-term solution. I needed a healthier way to heal.
That search led me deep into recovery science: light therapy, oxygen therapy, nervous system regulation, circulation, mitochondrial health. Eventually, I invested in my first device and set it up in that spare room.
At first it was purely personal. Slowly, things began to shift. The headaches became less frequent. My energy stabilized. Sleep improved. The fog started to lift. Friends noticed, asked questions, wanted to try it. What began as something private turned into shared sessions in that same spare room.
Over time the spare room became too small. Sorted moved into a small rented space, then into something more structured. Every device added had first been tested personally. Sorted was never built around hype. It was built around lived experience.
What started as one person trying to heal quietly in a spare room has grown into a space where others can do the same, with guidance, clarity, and tools that empower them to take control of their own recovery.
